Gros Morne Cabins are located amidst the scenic beauty of Western Newfoundland, in the heart of Gros Morne National Park.

The surrounding area offers a wide range of activities and numerous hiking trail:

  • Visit breathtaking Western Brook Pond and take in the scenic boat tour. Cruise beautiful Trout River Pond or enjoy a saltwater cruise on Bonne Bay.
  • See the historic lighthouse at Lobster Head Cove just across the harbour from Gros Morne Cabins.
  • Stroll the beach behind the cabins or explore the spectacular sandy beach at Western Brook.
  • Enjoy the indoor pool at the Recreation Complex
  • Tour the historic fishing exhibit at Broom Point
  • The more adventuresome can climb Gros Morne Mountain, the second highest mountain in Newfoundland. Here you can catch a glimpse of animals normally found in Arctic climes, such as Caribou, Arctic Hare and Ptarmigan.
  • Watch local fishers land their catch right from your cottage window.
  • Fish local rivers and streams for Atlantic salmon and brook trout.
  • The National Park Visitor Centre provides many programs for information and enjoyment.
  • Take a day to tour scenic Bonne Bay and hike the strange moonscape-like Tablelands.
  • Take a stroll through local art galleries.
  • Enjoy exciting sea kayaking and paddle with magnificent whales.

During our winter season, enjoy over 50km of cross country ski trails.
